Hull Community Church is a group of ordinary people exploring life together, where everyone is welcomed and valued. Our hope is to be an example of what an inclusive, faith community looks and acts like. Our style is contemporary and informal, with live-music on Sundays.
What sort of a church are we?
We are an independent Christian church without a specific denomination. We recognise that we belong to a very broad church and we have close relationships with people from all different faith traditions and church backgrounds.
We are respectful of people of all faiths or none, and believe that we are better when we walk this journey of life together. We are open and inclusive, welcoming and affirming of people from all walks of life. We hope you’ll find a place here too.
What do we believe?
This is best summed up by our Inclusive Church statement of faith:
“We believe in inclusive church – church which does not discriminate, on any level, on grounds of economic power, gender, mental health, physical ability, race or sexuality. We believe in Church which welcomes and serves all people in the name of Jesus Christ; which is scripturally faithful; which seeks to proclaim the Gospel afresh for each generation; and which, in the power of the Holy Spirit, allows all people to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Jesus Christ.”
